Late last year we looked at perhaps the finest luxury townhome project amid the cluster of them built on Peachtree near Peachtree Heights West (aka Jesus Junction) in Buckhead. Squabbling over which of these projects is the best would be a complete waste of time, especially since they're all really, really nice. But a debate over value may be a worthy exercise given the fraught, years-long debate over the state of the Atlanta housing market; therefore, a glance at this offering from The Bellingrath is useful. The 3 bed, 3.5 bath townhome seems a worthy candidate for a spread in any number of design magazines, and all of the appropriate boxes are checked: fine woods; high-end appliances; and airy, spacious rooms. What is perhaps most notable in comparing the Bellingrath to competitors like Regents Park is that price points are generally safely lodged in the $1 millions (this particular home is listed for $1,650,000). And while the Bellingrath's developers may not have spent quite as extravagantly as Regent Park's on, well, everything, the location is the same, and the product is practically as nice. In today's market, that might be good enough if one can save mid-six figures in purchase price.
