The local real estate broker handling leasing for Renaissance Walk recently landed a rather desirable tenant in the form of, oh, the President of the United States. The corner of Piedmont and Auburn Avenues seems like a great fit for Obama’s re-election campaign offices. It’s at the heart of Atlanta’s historical African American legacy, and it’s also smack dab in the middle of an all-important voter bloc: college students. Renaissance Walk has a had a tough time since coming out of the ground, but like the rest of Auburn Avenue it could be due for a turnaround in the near future with completion of the streetcar. The POTUS re-election headquarters could be a taste of things to come. [Atlanta magazine via Creative Loafing]
