Migrants Like Atlanta

It seems people everywhere are busily analyzing U.S. Census Data, because lately not a week (or a day) goes by where we don't get some kind of interesting factoid about Atlanta's population. As an added bonus, the most recent piece of trivia includes a Top 10 list! The subject today is migration (as defined by the number of people that move to Atlanta from somewhere else, minus the number who leave)- and we learn Atlanta ranks #8 in the U.S. for migration in-flow, with an average of 82 migrants arriving per day. Surprising to some, not to others: during the period from July 2010 to July 2011, there were nearly 5,000 more international migrants than domestic. So we're #8, who's #1? Miami.
