At first glance, we were intrigued by this piece from Thomas Wheatley in Creative Loafing because it examined some new messaging Mayor Reed deployed in advocating T-SPLOST. But sadly the interesting nature of the content and Wheatley's candor about his reading habits were overshadowed by the conversation taking place in the Comments section. That the sentiments expressed therein are carried by a significant portion of the metro Atlanta population is not a surprise. But with 40 or so days until the vote, the potential for a further devolving of the debate is both depressing and a little scary. [Creative Loafing]
