To outsiders, Atlanta is associated with car-centricity and traffic as much as anything else, Coca Cola and the Braves included. But a local company is now providing a way to get potential Atlanta migrants out of the car for a few hours and show them the city and its neighborhoods by bicycle. Founded in the wake of the real estate crash (the owner was a construction inspector who saw his prospects dwindling), Atlanta Bicycle Tours offers "Relocation Bicycle Tours" in partnership with Atlanta Intown Real Estate Services. From a practical standpoint, we're not sure that the heat, humidity and air quality of summer necessarily provide a great platform for attracting people to town. But pedaling prospective home buyers through Virginia Highland or Inman Park on a fall or spring day: genius. We'd go for the gusto and combine it with the Atlanta Street Art Tour.
