The Gambler Avoids An Auction

It's been a good few weeks for Kenny Rogers. First he was all over the Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee, performing for enthusiastic crowds by himself and with decidedly non-country acts like Lionel Richie and Phish. Now he's avoided an auction on his retreat just outside Athens, Georgia. The Polynesian-styled estate sitting on 150 acres was a mini-resort, including a 5600 square foot house, a bass-stocked lake (with pontoon boat), in-ground trampoline, go-cart track and heated pool. Sales price was $2.25 million. [11 Alive.com]
