As news of the Sweet Auburn District's inclusion on the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Endangered List ricocheted around the medias yesterday, more than a few folks in Atlanta had to wonder how one of the most important historical and symbolic places in the entire city has again become imperiled. Atlanta magazine's Five Points blog published a thoughtful piece of commentary this morning invoking some of that history and issuing a rallying cry to save Sweet Auburn.
