Heat Map Update; Ford Fry's New Place; Atlanta Nosh Is Done

CITYWIDE— The Eater Atlanta Heatmap has been updated for June. New additions include The Spence and The Optimist. Head over to our sister site to check out the ten hottest places to eat in the city right now.

WESTSIDE— Hot off the heels of the highly anticipated opening of The Optimist, Ford Fry announced he's already got a new restaurant in the works. Nothing is known about the new place yet except that it's slated to open in February 2013.

MIDTOWN— Michaela Graham, founder of the Atlanta Nosh, permanently shut down the weekly market in Atlantic Station on Monday. The Nosh wasn't making as much money as she'd hoped, and there may or may not have been a mishap with a customer getting sick..

DOWNTOWN— Maybe this will rescue the district: High Road Craft Ice Cream is coming to the Sweet Auburn Curb Market. The buildout on the store will be done by the end of June, but the High Road team will have a cart selling ice cream in their space near Arepa Mia and Ciao Bocca this Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

MIDTOWN— Chef Zeb Stevenson of the newly opened Proof and Provision sits down with Eater to talk about what he pairs with menu items like his grilled cheese sandwich, what sets his bar apart from others equally close from the Fox Theatre, and more.
