Faded Buckhead Strip Center Getting An Update

Looks like one of Atlanta’s best located but underutilized retail developments is ready to elevate its game. Powers Ferry Square, the aging brick strip center on Roswell Road at Powers Ferry in Buckhead is a study in contrasts. At once home to B.D. Jeffries- one of Atlanta’s most interesting (and expensive) stores, but also a Jersey Mike’s, Dunkin Donuts and several empty storefronts. Likely in an effort to fill that space with more B.D. Jeffries-grade peers, Powers Ferry Square’s owner, the retail property owner megalith Regency Centers, just filed plans to spend some $900k on a facacde renovation. We’d bet across the street neighbor and competitor Tuxedo Festival’s recent renovation played some part in the decision.
