Lots for the Money and the Horsey Life in Sandy Springs

If one ever needed a reminder of the appeal of the Atlanta suburbs, this foliage-surrounded house amid the splendors of the Chattahoochee River ecosystem in Sandy Springs would certainly suffice. Tucked way back in Huntcliffe and abutting upscale amenities like the (private) Cherokee Town & Country Club and the Huntcliff Equestrian Center the 5 bed, 4 bath, 2 half bath spread of 4300 square feet exhibits characteristics of sustainable building and landscaping more often associated with in town properties. The huge kitchen is notable for its abundant use of wood, including cabinetry with the 'weathered barn' look. The rest of the house is spacious and perfectly nice if somewhat bland, but step out back into the pool area on a hot, humid Atlanta summer day and one could feel transported to a boutique eco-resort in Costa Rica. No telling what this place would go for in Buckhead, Morningside or Virginia Highland (likely at or over $1mm). But in Sandy Springs list is $759,900.
