Innovations in Shoebox Living

Very few people move to New York with expectations of a grand living space. But with studio rents averaging $2000 (and 1 BR's going for an average $2700), solutions are needed for an ever-worsening housing shortage on the island of Manhattan. So the next innovation in NYC multifamily development is being encouraged: the 300 square foot apartment (current regulations require new domiciles constructed in the city to be a minimum of 400 square feet.)
