Midtown residents and officials got their first look at plans for two major development projects slated for southern Midtown near Peachtree's intersections with Ponce de Leon and North Avenue. Both Emory Healthcare's Georgia Proton Therapy Center and Faison Enterprises' apartment-heavy mixed-use development would shield their parking decks from the street and attempt to preserve existing structures in the area- notably the "Pei" building at the corner of Juniper and Ponce.
