Walmart Increasingly Likely at Lindbergh

New, 1 comment

In spite of spirited neighborhood opposition, the Atlanta Zoning Review Board has approved Sembler / Fuqua Development's plans to bring a massive new big box (150k square feet) store to Lindbergh. And that store is very likely to be a Walmart. Neighborhood opposition was driven less by antipathy toward Walmart than a desire to see the site developed in line with Atlanta's Transit Oriented Development (TOD) regime, which would decrease the size of the parking lot and encourage a more urban, pedestrian-friendly footprint.
