The word that comes to mind most when looking at this 5 bedroom, 3 bath brick house with a French provincial style exterior is solid. Though the home's flourishes are limited to its Francophilic architecture with the "mansard styled roof-line" (we actually learned something from the broker babble...who knew?), at $349,000 it seems like a very strong value. Though one could quibble with the lack of some (minor) updates, the timeless style and comfort that come with the wood floors found throughout, the masonry fireplace and the number and size of the rooms more than make up for it. Add a nice yard, the Avondale Estate's swim / tennis just down the street and proximity to Decatur and you have a pretty compelling offering in the $300's.
