Millions of People Visit Stone Mountain?

Aside from being an interesting look at the company that effectively runs Stone Mountain (the state owns the large piece of granite, these folks operate the various attractions and amenities), this piece from the AJC delivers the somewhat surprising news that some 4 million people per year visit the park. The company we refer to is Norcross-based Herschend Family Entertainment, who moved their corporate headquarters to the Atlanta area from the tourist mecca Branson, Missouri, where they also have significant holdings. Note the CEO's artful dodge of the interviewers question about Stone Mountain's Confederate legacy. [AJC]
