What Does This Lovely Collier Hills Listing Say About the State of the In-town Housing Market?

What would you pay for 4 bedrooms, 3 baths in 3600-plus square feet on an acre in Collier Hills? Maybe less than you thought. Open spaces and the seller's predilection for mod'ish white leather furniture caught our eye here, but the value proposition spurred a closer look. Put simply, getting into an updated 4/3 in Buckhead often costs you more than this house's list price of $699,900, especially considering the size of the lot. Though the school district is E. Rivers instead of the coveted Morris Brandon and some folks do everything they can to avoid Collier Road, the Hills of Collier remain one of Atlanta's prettiest 'hoods, and their proximity to Buckhead, Midtown, the Westside and I-75 is prized by in-towners. The Zillow stats show the house to only have been on the market 16 days. We'll keep an eye on this one.
