New Art at the Airport A Mixed Bag of Peanuts

Users of the new international terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson get way more than a flight connection, at least according to a review by art critic Catherine Fox. Sounds like that 1 percent arts allocation in the construction budget was money well spent. Atlanta gets to show off its cultural chops, and cranky travelers have something pretty with which to soothe their nerves. Although Fox finds that some of the more technically advanced pieces don’t live up to their potential, the overall assemblage is a worthy first impression for out of towners.
