Atlanta Police shut down half of Virginia Highland's Food Truck Wednesday event last week, and no, it wasn't the result of someone hawking tainted tacos. An "anonymous complaint" tipped off the authorities that some of the vendors were operating without the specific licenses which are required for every serving location. It's the same issue that led to the the temporary closing of the Atlanta Food Truck Park this past spring, leading some to wonder just how serious the city is when it comes to supporting the street food movement.
