Details are vague, but the Porch Press reports that the long vacant John B. Gordon School near the heart of East Atlanta will soon make way for a three story apartment project. The current structure was at one time held by the infamous Inman Park Properties, whose dramatic downfall was neatly covered by Creative Loafing a few years ago. While apartments have gone up recently in nearby Glenwood Park, such construction has been elusive closer to the village. Given the unstoppable popularity of EAV nightlife, it's a safe bet that more than a few partiers will appreciate the awesome ability to conveniently stumble home. [Porch Press]
