How ironic is it that the possible revisions for a struggling Sandy Springs development named 'City Walk' include improving pedestrian access? Seems like that should have been part of the plan all along, right? One things for sure: the shopping center in its current configuration isn't working too well, and its recent sale price only seems to add insult to injury. Compared to its 2007 transaction, the new owners might have gotten a hefty $20M price reduction. The city of Sandy Springs referenced the Kroger-anchored plaza in its plans for a new downtown, so hopefully any changes will go toward creating a better pedestrian experience. Opportunity's knocking!
