The Urban Coop Tour is still a few weeks away, but it's possible to get a sneaky preview on the event's website. Tour goers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the phenomenon that is backyard chicken keeping in an area that encompasses a square from Virginia Highland to Decatur, down to East Atlanta and Grant Park. Needless to say, this is some pampered poultry; most of the coop-homes have been trendily constructed in a style that's one part Dwell, two parts Rural Studio. Unlike the theme song from Green Acres, the decision between country and urban life isn't so clear cut after all.
