For lovers of unapologetic vintage style there's this $1,085,000 Haynes Manor residence that's on the market for the first time since 1946. Its California Monterey architecture was all the rage when it was built six years prior to that sole sale, and it still makes for a homey look. However, the interiors's a mixed bag, a fact which isn't helped by a somewhat distracting hodgepodge of furniture and tchotchkes that's been piling up for 60+ years. The hardwood floors are promising, and that beamed ceiling's nice; the scalloped paneling probably won't garner praise, nor will a kitchen that hasn't looked good since the Ford administration. With that said, the metallic wallpaper in one of the bathrooms is almost so bad it's good.
