This week's top dish from Eater Atlanta, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...
MASON JARS— Got a feud for you: AJC restaurant critic John Kessler and Empire State South's Hugh Acheson got in a Twitter fight about Mason jars (Kessler is tired of them; Acheson thinks it's the drink that matters, not the vessel). Then Kessler wrote about it in a blog post that equated mason jarred drinks to food served on hubcaps, and then Acheson and Empire State South's executive chef Ryan Smith created a hubcap special at the restaurant.
DECATUR— The General Muir is set to open soon (best case: end of next week) in Emory Point. The restaurant comes from the people behind West Egg and will be a full-service breakfast/lunch/dinner Jewish Deli concept. Here's what it looks like right now.
CITYWIDE— These restaurants are now open, these will be open soon, and these ones have recently closed. Have the scoop on a bar or an eatery near you? Email the Eater Atlanta tipline.
