Parlez-Vous Faux French Opulence? Oui, Says $1.3M Home

New, 4 comments

This elegant French-style manor lords over Mont Saint-Michel the Buckhead/Brookhaven area and boasts a porte-cochère to satisfy the most jonesing Francophile. No, this isn't 14th Century architecture; these 5,133 square feet on Peachtree Dunwoody Road were built back in 2007. This one should satisfy buyers looking for a unique, airy space — and who can pony up the nearly $1.3 million asking price. Venetian plaster, see-through hearths and, of course, French doors abound here. The hardwood planks in the ceiling are a nice touch, but the gaudy light fixtures, while fitting, are a little rich. Another minus: no pool. But if the goal is to break the mold in Atlanta, or to harken to a European honeymoon each day after work, this could be the spot.
