Virginia-Highland: A Lovely Grab-Bag Of Densities

New, 10 comments

The "Virginia-Highland" name usually harkens one of two things: Stately, pricey houses or lively eateries and watering holes. But could the former Bohemian stomping ground and "streetcar suburb" also be Atlanta's king of older apartment and condo complexes? Buckhead also comes to mind, but our unscientific guess is that the concentration of classic/aged complexes in Va-Hi is much greater. Anyhow, our photographer pounded pavement around the neighborhood to put Va-Hi's variations of density on film, so to speak. This led to an epiphany: Dense equals walkable.
