Lush Tuxedo Park Home Tomahawked By $600K

New, 3 comments

(Chop Week, our homage to Atlanta's playoff-bound, semi-racistly named baseball team, rolls on ... )

At about 10,000 square feet, this giant fits the bill in ritzy Tuxedo Park — and we won't tell your hoity-toity neighbors you got a steal. Recently marked down from $6.2 to $5.6 million, this mansion occupies a 1.5-acre lot on Blackland Road and boasts an oversized wine cellar, home theater and gym. The dark wood and flat metal of a well-equipped kitchen seems a little out of place with the rest of the rustic house, which comes with six beds, eight baths, a stacked stone fireplace and exposed beams. The master bath has heated stone floors, which are vital in Georgia. Outside hides the "private oasis," comprised of a pool house, infinity pool and custom koi pond surrounding a screened-in porch. Built in 2005, the mansion actually has its own website — and a 56-photo virtual tour — at 450BlacklandRoad.com. But has it been discounted enough to sell? That is the question.
