Fuqua Development is having better luck in the 'burbs than in picky Atlanta, where neighbors have rallied against the company's suburban-style, big-box visions. Peachtree Corners' downtown development authority picked a team that includes Fuqua and AMLI Residential to turn 20 acres of city-owned land into a mixed-use supercenter, the AJC reports. The project, which has yet to be officially green-lighted, calls for 356 upscale apartments, a 120-room hotel, a smattering of offices and 150,000 square feet of retail near The Forum shopping center.
