Stadiumwire

Creative Loafing points to a new Falcons Stadium rendering that hasn't received as much attention as the flashy ones with interior sky-bridges, epic glass walls and that octagonal exterior that mimics a flying bird's wings. Be wary, they write, of the rendering that shows a sizable "asphalt ocean" where the Georgia Dome now stands. That parking lot, while tail-gater friendly, has potential to harm communities and prove that Atlanta never learns. Is it possible to find a happy medium somewhere between tail-gater happiness and parking-fee revenue and a stadium that's properly woven into the city? [CL]
