Former Atlanta Hawk's Buckhead Condo Asks $1.6M

New, 3 comments

A former Atlanta Hawk and metro-area native has put his Buckhead condo on the market. Shareef Abdur-Rahim, raised in Marietta and an all-star during his turn-of-the-century Hawks career, is selling the unit he's owned at the 2500 Peachtree building since 2001. At 3,076 square feet, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, it's priced at $1.595 million and seems somewhat elegant, at least, if not sorely dated. The lower-floor garden views for Unit 210 are nice but hardly "one of the most beautiful views you will find," as the listing claims.

'Reef is known as a pretty good dude, a gold medal winner with Team USA in 2000, a devout Muslim and the founder of The Future Foundation, which provides after-school programs and other guidance for at-risk Atlanta kids. He's currently the director of player personnel for the NBA's Sacramento Kings, which may explain why he's hawking his ATL condo with "elegant stone floors," covered balcony, FOUR parking spaces and a private elevator. The condo is in one of Buckhead's swankiest buildings, positioned where Lindbergh Drive hits Peachtree Road, and has been listed for about a month and a half.
