The Saporta Report notes that early — and "ugly" — proposals for the $1.2 billion Falcons stadium show a typical asphalt sea abutting the structure, suggesting "we are still tied to the almighty car rather than the vision of a thriving walkable city." It's hard to understand the fight to locate the stadium near MARTA when so much emphasis would be put on ample parking/tailgating space. Early renderings show an immense, asphalt dead zone to the north. [SR]
