This could be one of those homes so close to Grant Park you can sip wine on the front porch to the sound of roaring lions. But that's a guess. Here are facts: This three-bedroom charmer was built in 1906, and it's asking $389,000. With original pine floors and fireplaces, it drips with turn-of-the-century character. The 360-acre park (and its collection of jungle creatures) sits literally across the street. In our book, that's a huge positive, and there's no reason to be concerned about jailbreaks (except for that one snake). The second-floor/attic space sounds like it's pretty raw, and the ultra-white kitchen and various aspects of the bathrooms don't exactly qualify as highlights. But 11-foot ceilings, rear parking and bountiful soul ? those are good things.
