Erroneous Rumors

A misinformed tipster has sent a preview of Walk Score's revised and more thorough list of Atlanta's most walkable places. To recap, the folks at Walk Score, who are intimately familiar with Atlanta, released a walkability report card this week, and our city failed miserably. On the revised Walk Score list, however, The Gulch scores an impressive 89 of 100 points, bolstered by "plentiful rail options" and "cheap lodging." Atlantic Station bags a 94 for its "organic feel" and "free, constant concert." But the walkability granddaddy is Lenox Square — mistaken for "Buckhead's downtown square" — which chalks up a chart-busting 189 Walk Score for its "endless storefronts" connected by "elevated sidewalks."
