Strange things are afoot in Sandy Springs, at least by Atlanta standards: Something that is concrete and taxable is being replaced by a park. Come January, demolition crews will start razing the former Target building on Johnson Ferry Road that has served as a city storage space since 2008. The 6.9-acre plot occupied by Dead Target is considered vital to the city's efforts to create a downtown. [Reporter Newspapers]
