Come, Watch Atlanta Morph Through The Decades

With so many colossal changes on tap for 2014 in Atlanta, we thought it'd be appropriate to delve into our fair city's history. Whether Atlanta's swollen Connector and altered downtown represent progress or regression is a matter of a perspective. But these images, via Atlanta Time Machine and Georgia State University archives, illustrate that the Big Peach is no longer a sleepy Southern town where three-lane expressways suffice. We set out to capture images from the same angles as pictures and postcards dating back to the Great Depression. And no, we're not referring to the week the Braves' said au revoir.
