Blight Fight

The Saporta Report offers a compelling, wide-ranging read this week called "From poverty to plenty: Atlanta could be a case study in reducing blight." It addresses the five-county metro region's now infamous immobility for people born into poverty and zeroes in on downtrodden neighborhoods like Vine City, where Georgia Tech students have outlined ideas for revitalization as the new Falcons stadium comes to fruition. The GT report's title almost echoes Reagan: "Break down that wall." [SR]
