Perhaps you've heard: Atlanta's embarking on a plan to expand and enhance its rather paltry network of bicycle lanes — to the tune of $2.5 million worth of projects over roughly the next year, and more than $60 million by 2016. One Creative Loafing columnist and avid pedaler makes the case the cash can't come too soon. Apparently, of Georgia's 127 bicycle fatalities in the last six years, only two did not involve a vehicle.
