The 'Driving Miss Daisy' Home Lists for $1.9 Million

Has any true Atlantan not wanted to own the Druid Hills estate where Morgan Freeman obliged a cantankerous Jessica Tandy for several decades? Uh, no. So maybe Freeman wasn't really a submissive chauffer, but the 1989 Best-Picture-Oscar-winning movie "Driving Miss Daisy" was really filmed at this Lullwater Road six-bedroom home, which just hit the market for a cool $1.99 million. The 1922 property has vintage charm in spades, achieved by way of handsome woodwork throughout, and especially in the doorways, arched and not. The ornate-crown-molding-and-chandelier aesthetic could deter buyers with contemporary tastes, though modern flourishes (marble kitchen counters) are not wholly absent. A two-bedroom guesthouse comes with, and there's a private, woodsy backyard. This piece of cinematic — and Atlanta — history could be worth tolerating Tandy's nasty verbal barrage.
