After a heightened financial pledge from Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank all but green-lighted a new team stadium, the AJC has turned its attention to what actually building the roughly $1 billion roost could mean for the local economy. To quote the paper's findings: "From road builders to electricians to caterers, the proposed stadium could add nearly 30,000 direct and indirect jobs and buoy an industry that is still struggling to shake off the economic downturn." Still, naysayers call the benefits fleeting, at best. [AJC]
