Troubled Bridge Over Beltline

New, 1 comment

Regular patrons of the Edgewood Avenue bridge, that crumbling connector between Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park, should take notice: The bridge's year-long closure begins Sunday. It's the lowest-rated bridge in the city of Atlanta, structurally speaking, which turns out to be a blessing in disguise; its replacement will better integrate Edgewood with the Beltline, boasting "new pedestrian connections and an option to connect transit service via the extension of the Atlanta Streetcar network onto the (Beltline)."
