In Brookwood Hills, the tony neighborhood wedged between Peachtree Road and Interstate 85, sellers axed $102,000 last month from this large 1960 home that underwent a "to the studs" renovation three years ago. Which means the ask is now a more reasonable $1,395,000. At nearly 4,000 square feet, the house has four bedrooms and a relatively open floor plan for the style, with sleek hardwoods and a gourmet kitchen with a rather strange bench at the granite island. An expansive screened porch and deck overlook a prized flat (!) backyard and, beyond, a docile little forest. Still, parts of the home seem stuck in 1960, particularly where the hardwoods are swapped for thick carpet; some bathroom choices are just plain funky, in our objective opinion. Be mindful that, before the renovation, the place sold in 2007 for $740,000.
