Drumroll, y'all ... The Atlanta City Council is expected to vote today on whether to allow St. Louis-based Pacific Development LLC to build that 180-foot-tall Ferris wheel downtown. The ride would rise about 20 stories in a parking lot near The Tabernacle, across the street from Centennial Olympic Park, and its name would be "SkyView." Initial word of the whirly proposal sparked an interesting discussion here. [11Alive]
