Building Boom

Construction is finally picking up across the South, and especially in Atlanta, which has seen demand accelerate in the housing (mainly apartments), retail and industrial sectors, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports. What's more, the ATL has a $1 billion "construction leviathan" on the horizon called the new Falcons Stadium. The huge project, in terms of sheer mass, will be the equivalent of 15 Bank of America Plaza towers, the tallest U.S. tower outside of New York and Chicago. [ABC]
