Faced with what some large Atlanta media conglomerates have portrayed as a crime wave — that is, an isolated but nonetheless awful armed robbery — Atlanta police are mulling another safety component for the Beltline. In addition to training officers whose specific purpose is to hawk the multi-use trail, the APD says adding markers every quarter of a mile could help Beltline users determine their location, should crime happen.
