Relative to other Atlanta 'hoods, tony old Buckhead skirted the housing meltdown of recent years past, as home values held somewhat steady and foreclosures were few. Now, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports, it's tough to find a Buckhead home for less than $1 million, and developable lots don't really exist. Some homeowners are opening their mailboxes to find hand-written notes: "We'll buy your house." [ABC]
