A misinformed tipster tells Curbed Atlanta that Chick-Fil-A president Dan Cathy has personally applied for building permits to turn a long-vacant plot in the heart of Midtown into an offensively large restaurant. Plans call for a six-story, freestanding Chick-Fil-A on 10th Street next to Midtown Fire Station 15. The chain eatery would sport pew-like seating, signage "to rival The Big Chicken" and a leafy courtyard where patrons could "munch on Waffle Potato Fries® and nurture antiquated social perspectives." Cathy Tweeted further details but swiftly deleted them. [Curbed]
