Station Revitalization

New, 2 comments

In the near future, the overall look of several Midtown MARTA stations could be less dingy '70s-era bunker and more modernistic urban art gallery. Ideas for the potential overhauls at North Avenue, Midtown and Arts Center stations come via an $80,000 Atlanta Regional Commission grant to study possible efforts to enhance the "lackluster" subway stops. Possible amenities: a bike wall, outdoor café, abundant fluorescent paint jobs, enlarged green spaces and an influx of plants. [Creative Loafing]
