Renting Confidence

New, 1 comment

Post Properties' CEO says he's confident the flock of cranes pulling apartments from Atlanta's red clay does not signal overbuilding. David Stockert told the AJC new housing is being built more slowly than new households are being formed (did weddings get cheaper?), so overbuilding seems unlikely, even as thousands of apartments hit the market. What's more, move-outs caused by the rising costs of rent fell 1 percent in the second quarter over last year, Stockert said. [AJC]
