Construction At 280 Elizabeth Site Clearly Under Way

New, 2 comments

Backhoes have officially begun eating away at the aged complex of commercial buildings in Inman Park where the 280 Elizabeth Street development is scheduled to soon rise. Until last month, the buildings played host to local businesses such as Victory Sandwich and At The Collective (both have found pending homes elsewhere in Inman Park) and Dad's Garage theater, which is setting up shop temporarily in Little Five Points. The 280 Elizabeth Street project (that name is a working title and will be replaced soon, officials have said) will consume the 3.3-acre property, with a scheduled opening in late 2014. Plans calls for 200 apartments and 39,000 square feet of retail.
