Erroneous Rumors

A misinformed tipster tells Curbed Atlanta the Georgia Aquarium has inadvertently — and dubiously — etched itself into the Guinness Book of World Records. Last Saturday afternoon, the world's biggest fish tank officially set the mark for "Largest Claustrophobic Freakout In History" when a North Dakota church group was gouged for $34.95 tickets and forced into a slow-moving, sweaty sludge of humanity. (Patrons who escaped to The Dolphin Tales exhibit were charged an additional $9). The claustrophobia milestone eclipses a record set July 4 at the Buckhead MARTA station. [Curbed Staff]
