Beltline Beat

An energetic opinion piece on the Atlanta Beltline's website should be music to the ears of intown boosters. Jim Kegley, U.S. Micro Corp president and CEO, has helped sponsor the Beltline's art series since it debuted four years ago. Kegley opines that the Beltline will eventually have a greater impact than the 1996 Olympics, calling the project emblematic of Atlanta's urban rebound: "Over the last 20 years, Atlanta has seen more companies relocating intown and people moving back into the urban core. There is fresh optimism that the city is experiencing a kind of revival that will make it friendlier to pedestrians, bikers and those looking for a sense of community." [Beltline.org]
